MAUMEE, OH — Built on half a century of precision, resilience, and trust, Toledo Integrated Systems proudly marks 50 years of shaping the future of metalforming and automation. Founded in 1976, the company has transformed over five decades from a specialized sensor manufacturer into a comprehensive international provider of automation and control systems.

Originally established as Toledo Transducers, the company initially focused on manufacturing strain gauge sensors and load cells. In response to the evolving needs of the metalforming industry, Toledo Transducers expanded its engineering and product line to include tonnage monitors, load modules, die protection, press room networking software, and signature analysis. To reflect this transition into complete manufacturing solutions, the business rebranded as Toledo Integrated Systems.

Today, Toledo Integrated Systems delivers a full range of press automation, control programming, safety systems, and field support services. Signature solutions include the Maximizer and Maximizer TPC (Total Press Control), which combine tonnage monitoring, die protection, programmable limit switches (PLS), and clutch/brake control into an integrated PLC-based architecture. The company’s recent innovations include the DPPlus 2.0 all-in-one automation system and the standalone Press Pilot 150 clutch/brake control system.

Toledo Integrated Systems also maintains an in-house calibration laboratory accredited by A2LA for calibrations up to 2 million pounds, along with a specialized engineering team that can custom-design load cells for unique industrial applications.

"When you look at 50 years, it’s not just a number; it’s a lifetime of experience, relationships, and transformation," said John Eby, a 30-year veteran of the company who climbed the ladder from employee to owner. "Over five decades, our growth from a local team to an international operation has been driven by continuous adaptation and a commitment to our clients."

The company’s longevity is anchored in a culture of resilience and institutional expertise. Long-standing team members recall navigating economic downturns and unprecedented challenges, such as the COVID-19 pandemic. During global manufacturing shutdowns, Toledo Integrated Systems technicians remained in the field to upgrade press controls and service equipment, while assembly staff built parts from home to ensure uninterrupted customer support.

"Designing new and innovative products to meet customer demands is not always simple, but with the determination of our team, we keep delivering what our customers need," noted Wing Ki, a 36-year employee at Toledo Integrated Systems.

With half a century of experience and an eye toward the future, Toledo Integrated Systems continues to expand its technology portfolio, serving metalforming manufacturers across the globe.
